Aboriginal Family Worker
Primary focus on assisting parents and families with children aged 0 – 8 years, in a culturally appropriate way to enhance parents’ skills to improve educational, social and health outcomes for their children. Areas covered within the Upper Hunter region: Muswellbrook, Merriwa, Scone, Aberdeen, Denman, Murrurundi and Singleton.

Hunter Park Family Centre
Key function is to enhance parent's skills and confidence in raising children, to improve children’s health and well-being.

These counselling services are co-located in the QE11 Community Centre with UHCS. Please call the relevant phone number to book your appointment.
Muswellbrook Neighbourhood Service
MNS provides information, referral, advocacy and support. MNS provides emergency relief as per service guidelines and policy directives (eg food and electricity vouchers); needle and syringe exchange; and baby capsule and room hire. MNS supports community groups and initiatives. MNS services Muswellbrook local government area: Muswellbrook, Denman, Sandy Hollow, Wybong, Baerami.
Muswellbrook Out of School Hours Care - MOOSH
For children aged 5 - 12. Before and after school care 6.30am - 6.00pm, Vacation care 6.30am - 5.30pm.
Toy Box Children's mobile outreach service
Mobile outreach service providing structured playgroups for rural/ remote communities.
Toy Box is a not-for-profit organisation which provides parental support and educational programs for children aged 0-6 years in isolated areas of the Upper Hunter.
Upper Hunter Community and Youth Development Project
The Upper Hunter Community and Youth Development Project provides support to youth services and providers in the communities of Singleton, Muswellbrook, Merriwa, Scone, Denman, Aberdeen and Murrurundi.
Upper Hunter Family Support Service
Upper Hunter Family Support Service is a free service with a focus on strengthening and supporting families. We support parents and carers with children in their care up to the age of 17 years. Our workers will listen to your needs and provide your family with guidance, encouragement and strategies to make your own decisions.
